In 2020 Scott Holcomb of Granby CT. decided to run some races with Sprint Cars of New England since his normal schedule got shut down from COVID. Well Sunday at Devil's Bowl Speedway in West Haven , VT. Holcomb showed up again after losing a motor back in July. Lisbon Ct. Well 2021 is finally here and hoping it is better than 2020 for all. SCoNE has been busy the last month or so putting together stuff for our 2021 season. With all six New England states having some type of travel restrictions and group gathering restrictions our series awards banquet will not be scheduled until those restrictions have been lifted. Just a little update on what is going on with Sprint Cars of New England. We had a series meeting on January 23 which was well attended by the teams. Things discussed were our schedule, rules, sponsorships, etc. SCoNE has been working on the schedule and hoping to have around 15 events in 2021. Well winter is just about over here in New England so that means after a couple spring time snow storms it will be time to get ready for racing season. The offseason was spent trying to organize somethings for the series and working to get the schedule done. The schedule is done and posted here on our schedule tab. It's time to get the 2021 JRC Transportation Sprint Cars of New England race season started with our first event this Sunday at Devil's Bowl Speedway in West Haven , VT. West Haven, VT- Matt Tanner of Stephentown, NY showed up at Devil's Bowl Speedway just a little late and had to pit out in the parking lot. But that did not stop him from winning the JRC Transportation Sprint Cars of New England first race of the 2021 season. With the Sunday rains the event was postponed until Memorial Day Monday. West Haven VT- Well on Sunday July 4th , The JRC Transportation Sprint Cars of New England joined up with our friends at the CRSA to bring the race fans a Sprint Car Spectacular 360 / 305 Sprint Car Challenge Race at Devil's Bowl Speedway. Just getting back from Indy from the PRI Show and it was good to see some friends from the motorsports industry who I only see a few times a year and catch up. The 2022 season will begin in just under 90 days time. Once the snow is gone and mud season dries up a little the winged 360 sprint cars will be racing at dirt tracks here in New England. The schedule is complete and will be released soon. The series will visit a new track this year, with New Hampshire Motor Speedway putting down a new clay surface on The Flat Track.
