Will Hull Races To First Win Of Season At Bear Ridge

Sprint Cars of New England presented by ( Sponsor Still Wanted ) rolled into Bear Ridge Speedway in Bradford, VT. on Saturday night . As Will Hull returned to a familiar place. That place was Victory Lane . With a small car count on hand there was just one FK Rod Ends / O'Reilly Auto Parts heat race. Hull started on the pole of that heat race and took off to a nice lead and also captured the heat race win as well. After the invert the field was set with Jordan Fornwalt and Floyd Billington on the front row. Fornwalt had a good start and led the first three laps followed by Hull, F. Billington, Chris Donnelly, Jim Lowery. Hull got past Fornwalt on lap four and never looked back . By lap eight Donnelly had passed Fornwalt and was starting to catch Hull as they caught lapped traffic. Hull barely hit the infield tire running the bottom in turn four, but not enough to disrupt his run. The event went caution free and at lap twenty five it was Hull taking down the win , followed by Donnelly, Fornwalt, F. Billington, and Lowery your top five. followed by Travis Billington , Mike Horsch , Caleb Lamson, and Rick Stone. With not winning a race yet this season the two time defending champion Will Hull decided to change things up a little, and he put last years motor back in the car. So was it the motor or did his dedicated wife Erin ( crew chief ) try a new chassis set up. Either way Hull was happy to be back in victory lane . In other notes it was good to see the Dave Bowser owned 23b back in competition with Travis Billington at the wheel. Jim Lowery loaded the 71 up a little early Saturday morning and took his Sprint Car to a car show at the North East Motor Sports Museum in Loudon , NH. Jim Lowery Sr also brought his beautiful vintage car. Then loaded it up and went to race. Thanks Jim for taking the time to do that. Please check out Jim's website at (Lowery'sautorestoration.com) to see the beautiful work done by him and his staff at Lowery's Auto Restoration. A couple of teams had some mechanical issues getting to the track . SCoNE may have an announcement of an added race to the schedule so check back as we will post the news if it happens. Hopefully we will have more cars at our next event . Which will also be at Bear Ridge Speedway on Saturday August 29th. Come out and enjoy night of grassroots racing with Sprint Cars of New England.
