The Green Mountain Gear Heads Sprint Cars of New England went to RumTown Speedway in Wentworth , New Hampshire for there last race of the season on October 5th . It was a beautiful fall afternoon and evening for the Central New Hampshire Snowmobile Club night of racing. SCoNE had two heat races with Chris Donnelly taking down the win in the FK Rod ends heat race number one. With Mike Kondrat taking the win in the O'Reilly Auto Parts heat race number two. In the evenings feature event Kurt Conklin in the 45 and Jake Williams in the 73 starting on the front row with Williams getting a great jump and Conklin following in second. Johnny Scarborough settled into third and Floyd Billington in fourth. By lap five Chris Donnelly worked his way up to fourth passing Billington. Five laps later the leader Jake Williams was catching lapped traffic and doing a great job maintaining his good size lead. Robby Bodwell brought out the races only caution on lap nineteen with a mechanical problem and went to the pit area. Williams again got a great jump on the restart to pick up where he was before the caution with Kurt Conklin running second with Chris Donnelly now in third. At lap thirty it was Jake Williams taking the checkered flag with the 45 of Conklin second and the 17 of Donnelly in third. Johnny Scarborough and Floyd Billington rounded out the top five. Sixth through tenth went to Tanner Siemons, Mike Kondrat, Adam Trott , Robby Bodwell and Rick Stone . Will Hull DNS
Along with SCoNE there were four other open wheel divisions racing that evening. Five of the SCoNE regulars took off there wings and ran with the wingless sprint cars. Will Hull , Chris Donnelly, Rick Stone, Floyd Billington, and Kurt Conklin, along with wingless regular Adam Trott adding wings and also ran both features that evening.
Will Hull was able to bring home his second consecutive series championship even though he had a motor issue during the heat race and did not start the feature event. Congratulations to Will and his Dave's Plumbing and Heating race team.
Robby Bodwell made his return to SCoNE after a few years. Tanner Siemons ran his first laps ever in a sprint car in the 8 car.
