For Immediate Release BRS-08302025-1
Feature winners of the 58th consecutive season race week eighteen Vermont Agency of Transportation Todd Buckwold in the Sabil & Sons DIRTcar Sportsman Modifieds, Terry Williams in the Wells River Chevrolet DIRTcar Sportsman Coupes; Michel Danforth in the Dad’s 4 By Tool & Supply Sportsman Modifieds Limited; the Xtreme DIRTcar DMA Midgets were OFF; Scott Heath in the High Country Dispensary Late Models; Travis King in the LaValley Building Supply Dirt Stocks; Ryan Sayers® in the Woodsville Power Equipment Bobcat Ridge Runners, and Matt Tanner in the Sprint Cars of New England.
Todd Buckwold gets his second win in the Sabil & Sons DIRTcar Sportsman Modifieds. Starting from deep in the pack he methodically worked his way to the front and with five laps to go was able to get by Jeremy Huntoon who had led the field from the start. A caution on the same lap would see a restart from the last completed lap line up putting Huntoon back on top/ Buckwold was not to be denied and was able to make the pass again and move on to grab the checkers. Jason Gray appears to have gotten the proverbial monkey off his back and comes home in the second victory lane spot, with Huntoon taking home third. Max Dolliver and Ashton Pierson rounded out the top five.
Terry Williams becomes the nineth driver in the Wells River Chevrolet DIRTcar Sportsman Coupes to punch his ticket into the Growler event with his win. He is the seventh driver in the top ten to score a win. Ali Pushee also looking for his first win of the season, held the point for twenty-four of the thirty laps, but would have a slight bobble, which is what Williams was waiting for. Pushee would fall back to fourth before the checkers waved, watching Jason Gray and Michael Danforth pass by him. Gray takes home second with Danforth in third. Jeremy Hodge and Todd Buckwold completed the top five.
Michael Danforth wins the battle for the night in the Dad’s 4 By Tool & Supply Sportsman Modifieds Limited, but the championship battle between Bryan King and Travis Shinn is what everyone is watching. Shinn was on top by only two points last week, this week with King finishing one spot ahead of Shinn crossing the line in second with Shinn in third, the separation is but one point. Dustin Towle and Shawn King rounded out the top five.
The Xtreme DIRTcar DMA Midgets were off and will return to action for their MADNESS September 6th.
Scott Heath, the last standing weekly competitor in the High-Country Dispensaries Late Models finally gets a win. He was able to hold of the late race charges of Ryan Christian who comes home in second with Kelly Miller Sr crossing in third. Tim Higgins is your fourth-place finisher.
In the LaValley Building Supply Dirt Stocks rookie Travis King was able to capitalize on his starting position and grab his first win in the division. A caution on lap nineteen would set up a green, white checkers finish where he was able to hold on to the win. A post-race review of victory lane would find a mess up in the tower regarding the second and third place positions. After the dust settled upstairs it has been determined that the official finish behind first is Tyler Fellows in second and Keith Mansur third. Matt Pike and john Fields rounded out the top five.
Ryan Sayers is on one hell of a roll scoring his third in a row victory in the Woodsville Power Equipment Bobcat Ridge Runners. It seems quite clear if he had started out at the beginning of the season, that the battle for the championship would have a completely different appearance. Two features were on the schedule for the Ridge Runners, making up for one of the ones lost earlier in the season. Sayers dominated both events, beating out Zach Audet in the first one and Kevin LaForest in the second. Katie Burroughs joined Sayers and Audet in victory lane for feature one with Kevin LaForest and Riley Vhaffee completing the top five. Riley Chaffee joined Sayers and LaForest in victory lane for the second feature with Audet and Lucas Balch rounding out the top five.
The Sprint Cars of New England were going for their largest purse with sponsored lap money on the line the big-ticket winner would be Matt Tanner as he gets his second win of the season at the Ridge, and will get the big paycheck for laps led. Jacob Williams would fall short of being able to beat out Tanner settling for second place. Matt Hoyt joined the pair in victory lane in third. Tyler Chartrand and Caiden Herbert completed the top five. The Sprint Cars of New England will make one more appearance at the Ridge on September 13th.
The Joe Mama’s Sporting Goods 4/6 Cylinder Enduro series will be in action two more times this season, both points events, the first on September 20th and then again on Sunday October 12 for Sunday-Funday.
