McGee Automotive Family Inks Two-Year Extension with SCoNE

Champion to earn $2,000 as Top 10 point fund grows

CLAREMONT, N.H. (April 16, 2024) – The Sprint Cars of New England (SCoNE) Tour has received a major boost with a two-year extension on its title partnership with McGee Automotive Family. The commitment from McGee brings along an increase of more than 50% to the year-long Top 10 championship point fund, serving as a greater reward to the teams who chase the full 12-race schedule.

The 2024 McGee Automotive Family Sprint Cars of New England Tour champion will earn $2,000 and the runner-up takes $1,000; for comparison, champion Chris Donnelly won $1,500 in 2023 and runner-up Will Hull took $700. For 2024, all other positions in the Top 10 have gained between 50% and 100% over last year’s payout, with fifth place worth $500 and 10th place paying $350.

The McGee Automotive Family of dealerships has nearly 20 locations in Vermont, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts, representing a total of 15 automakers. The McGee FlexBuy program makes browsing and buying vehicles quick and fun from anywhere in the world, giving the buyer the power of choice, the ease of shopping online, and the convenience of having their new vehicle delivered to their home.

Jason Quenneville, Operating Partner at McGee Toyota of Claremont, N.H., McGee Mazda Claremont, N.H., and McGee Toyota of Epping, N.H., has enthusiastically agreed to re-up with the SCoNE Tour through the 2024 and 2025 seasons. Quenneville is a successful driver at Devil’s Bowl Speedway who comes from a large family of racers and understands the importance of race fan loyalty in the branding of his dealerships.

“We’ve seen great success with our marketing efforts in motorsports,” Quenneville said. “Our McGee Family Racing Team has five cars racing all over the Northeast, our branding campaigns at Devil’s Bowl have been very successful, and the McGee partnership with the Sprint Cars of New England was a great addition last year. We see exciting things ahead for SCoNE and we are confident that we can help each other grow.”

McGee Automotive Family’s long association with Devil’s Bowl Speedway and its partnership with SCoNE will converge on Saturday, July 27, as McGee will be the event sponsor when SCoNE visits the West Haven, Vt., track.

“We are so fortunate to have a partner like the McGee Automotive Family,” SCoNE President Justin St. Louis said. “Many of our competitors and fans are close in proximity to the McGee Toyota and Mazda locations in Claremont and Epping, so our partnership makes sense for the community. The long-term commitment from Jason Quenneville and McGee backs up our belief that SCoNE is growing, viable, and exciting. Their willingness to step up and help increase our point fund is so important to the race teams who pour everything they have into these racecars.”

The McGee Automotive Family Sprint Cars of New England Tour opens its 21st season of competition at Devil’s Bowl on Saturday, May 11. The SCoNE Tour visits five tracks in Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine, and New York for a 12-race championship schedule. Pre-season registration indicates a strong increase in competition for 2024, with nearly 20 full-time racers planning to chase the title.
