West Haven, VT- Saturday night saw the return of The JRC Transportation Sprint Cars of New England to the beautiful Devil's Bowl Speedway for the Independence Day Racing Spectacular. The car count was a little low for this great racing facility due to a few things such as tires and holiday, and other series racing on this day. The FK Rod Ends Heat Race number 1 saw a good eight lap race with Chris Donnelly running the bottom and chasing Clay Dow once Donnelly found some room u on the highside he motored his way by to take the win, followed by Caleb Lamson. The O'reilly Auto Parts heat Race number 2 would see Jake Williams get out front early and lead by a huge margin for the eight laps. Williams was followed Floyd Billinginton.
After the invert the field would be set with Clay Dow and Matt Hoyt bringing the field down for the 25 lap A-main event. After the green flag fell Dow got the lead going into turn one and as Hoyt went to move to the bottom he made contact with Dow and sent him spinning in front of the field as they reached the middle of turns one and two. As Dow spun he collected the Cory Sparks car and Sparks was done for the event with heavy damage. It would be a complete restart with Dow going to the rear. Once the field came by the starters stand it was Hoyt out front but being pressured by Will Hull right away. Hull got by and never looked back. Hull had a straightaway lead as they caught lapped traffic and that did not slow him down as he found his way to the Venture Wipes feature race win. Donnelly who stated at the back of the invert was working his way and had a good race going with Matt Hoyt. Donnelly would get the second position and Hoyt in third. Caleb Lamson fourth , and Floyd Billington would end up fifth. Six thru ten it was Dow, Jake Williams, Kadyn Berry , Scott Duell, Mike Netishen.
The next event for The JRC Transportation Sprint Cars of New England will be on July 15th at The Flat Track located at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.
